   I do not care much for the layout of this course, especially for the prices they charge to play here. There is not much to this golf course that gives it any kind of character. It plays very short and it seems like nearly every hole is a drive and a wedge. I guess for the higher handicapper it is nice because it is pretty much wide open.

   The conditions are fair at best, in my opinion. They get so much play here that the greens are bumpy. It does play firm and fast though. There is virtually no rough to speak of either.

   The pace of play is only good if you are one of the first groups out in the morning. Being an easier course, it is usually filled up with high handicappers, making for a dreadfully slow round. I have experienced more than one 5 hour round here.

   The best thing about Encinitas Ranch is the golf staff. They are very nice, friendly and knowledgable. They have a beverage cart on the course and a nice bar area for after the round.

   They have a pretty good driving range, most of the time it is mats only but the balls are in good shape.

   Overall, I think it is not that good of a value, I think you can find better deals out there, if you are looking for them.
