As a local to San Diego, I love being able to play this course on a regular basis. What else needs to be said about this course after the 2008 U.S. Open. This is a very long but fair golf course, bring your hybrids and 3 wood. Birdies are scarce and it is easy to make a bogey or double. A must for anyone visiting San Diego. It is usually in good shape, the fairways are narrow and the rough is very thick. You probably won’t see greens like in the U.S. Open but that is probably a good thing. The only complaint I would have is the pace of play. It is usually a long round of golf on the south because it is so tough.
