I know the south gets all the hype but this is actually a great course too. The layout is a lot of fun, not quite as demanding as the south course but still a good test of golf. They have a few newer back tee boxes that have stretched the length of the course out a little. Par 5’s are shorter and reachable, gives you good chances for birdies. Not as many long par 4’s like on the south, a few that are a bit longer though.
The conditions are fine, greens were a bit soft and I got a lot of backspin on approach shots.
Pace of play was better than on the south, easier to get on this course and usually not as packed with people. Can play a nice round in around 4 hours.
Great golf course with spectacular views of the pacific. I know it does not get the hype of the south but this is a really good golf course.
